Inspiration Using the Brutus Monroe Magical Mouse Inspiration Box

Hello friends! Stopping in here this evening to share a little inspiration using a card kit and a fun video to follow along with while I’m making the projects you see here below:

I have a collection of card kits and really love the things in them, but I wasn’t getting many miles with any of them, so I thought the best way to do this was to “record” myself using the contents in these kits to make a video so that I would “be certain” that I was going to be using it! I was happy with the different projects that I made with it and I hope that it will be something to help inspire you in some way as well. Check out my video below or you can watch it on You Tube by CLICKING HERE.

I started out with this fun “Tee-Pee” or “Tent” card using some of the toner printed panels included in the kit and foiled over top of them:

I’ve colored up this sweet little mouse from the Brutus Monroe Stamp of the Month with Copics, cut him out with a circle die and layered him over a another circle piece with cardstock from the kit as well. I thought that the foiled panels and the shape of this “Tee-Pee” card made a fun looking cheese wedge design. Instruction on how I’ve put this together are included in the video above so you can try one out too!

My next card was so fun to put together starting with the background.  I used the Tim Holtz Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink with the “smooshing technique” and splattering some of the Gold Sparkle Hyper Pigment Ink included with the card kit.  The image was colored with Copic markers and attached to the background panel.  I white heat embossed the sentiment over a piece of black that was die cut with a banner die.  I finished it off with sequins also included in the inspiration box.

My next project is using the Brutus Monroe Stencil of the month for the background and then I arranged some more colored up images from the Mouse Friends stamp set that was included in the Inspiration Box.  I added some details with more of the Gold Sparkle Hyper Pigment Ink, a glitter brush pen and Nuvo Crystal Drops for more sparkles.

My final card in the video shows how I’ve used the Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigment of the month for the background along with some more splattering.  I think this made such a cool background for many possibilities!

I stamped, colored and cut out four of those star images with the commet tail on it, but cut if off all but one of them to pop up with foam tape over the background.  I finished it with sequins for the kit filled in the center with more Stickles.

So for my last card, this was the only project that wasn’t included with the video because my camera had gave me some issues. This is actually what the Velveteen Glaze looks like when it’s dry. It’s hard to describe because when in the container, it’s very glossy looking, but when it’s dry, it has a matte finish that has a velvet feel. I used the stencil included with this kit to use it.

I’ve also used another one of those panels from the kit and ink blended over it and then cut it at a diagonal so that the stenciled sun shows up over the panel. I added more of the images from the set as well as the sentiment and then of course I need to use some of that pretty ribbon from the kit and added that along the bottom with a bow.

Of course I’ve added more glitter with some Nuvo Glitter Drops over some areas.

I sure enjoyed making these projects with this Inspiration Box! I hope that you’ve enjoyed my creations as well and come craft along with me in the video too! Would love to know what you think of these and if you’d like to see more videos with the monthly Inspiration Boxes, let me know and we can both knock them out together!😉

Thanks so much for spending this time with me and crafting! I sure enjoy reading what you have to say about anything! Wishing you a wonderful and happy weekend my friends! See you soon!
