Party Pandas

Hello friends!  I had another birthday card to make and this person likes panda bears, so I thought I’d go through my stash and see what I had for that.  Here’s what I came up with:

So I found this cute little guy that I believe was a “freebie” a few years back for your birthday month from Lawn Fawn called “Party Panda” and the extra was that “Happy birthday” sentiment as well.  There was also a set of coordinating dies with it that cut out the panda as well as the tiny cupcake.

So to make it a good party, you need more than one panda, so I stamped him out three times and stamped out some “party elements” as well from the Lawn Fawn Party Animals stamp set, colored and cut everything out with the coordinating dies.  These little guys turned out so cute with their party hats on and holding their birthday items to celebrate with another panda friend, of course!

I thought it would be fun to create  a green colored frame with the Watercolor Wishes paper cut out with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle and the Reversed Stitched Scallop Rectangle dies to create a frame.  I had some additional metallic gold polka dotted papers for the background behind it that were also a freebie with one of my orders.  Before attaching it to the back of the green frame, I also added a piece of Noble Fir cardstock cut from the Grassy Border die.  Attaching this border to the frame only gave me some room to tuck the pandas behind the grass.

I stamped the sentiment in black, cut it out with my scissors to make a banner and sponged some green ink around it before attaching to the card.  Lastly, I added some gold sequins and placed it over an A2 sized top-folding white card base.  I decided to create my own envelope with more of that green Watercolor Wishes paper to mail it in.

  • Well the green and grass have me thinking of Spring coming and I think I might party like a panda myself when it finally arrives!! 😆🎈  I’m sure ready to be outdoors!

Hope that you’ve enjoyed my card today and have been inspired!  I’ll be back Saturday for this month’s Art Journal Page and hope to see you then!  Thanks for dropping in!

Christmas Fun with Kits and Classes

Hello friends!  We’re headed into the home stretch now for Christmas and the end of the year!  Are you ready yet?  Well I thought that I would try and get some Christmas cards made up and have some fun with it rather than trying to rush things too much.

Tee hee!  This one makes me giggle!  While I was making up some squares for my sampler swap group, I thought I’d use this same MFT Stuffed Santa kit (that I had gotten last year) and made a card along with making the squares too!  The squares I made turned out cute too and I’ll share those later on.  I added some glitter to the snow on the image and on his gold belt buckle too.  The background was white heat embossed with the MFT Christmas Greetings Background and then ink blended with blue inks.  Finished off with snowflake sequins and Stickles glitter in the centers of each.

And here’s another set of cards that I made from a previously purchased kit by Riley & Co using the cute Riley as the Grinch stamp.  The stamp was included along with the kit and so I just thought it would be nice and easy by just coloring him up, adding my own sentiment and putting it together.  So now I want to watch the movie!😄

And lastly are some cards that I put together during an OOAK event with the classes that I selected to get the kits for and just enjoyed the process of putting them together.  **If you are on my website, you can click on the photos below to see them up close and larger**

So although I’ve shared several projects here today, I have more craft-making going on so I’m going to shorten up my post and hope that you enjoy the inspiration!  I appreciate you stopping by today!  See you soon!

August AJ Page-Childhood Imagination

**IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN MY GIVE AWAY OR LOOKING FOR IT, CHECK OUT MY POST BELOW OR CLICK HERE.  ENDS SEPT 22nd**

Happy Saturday friends!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend and maybe doing something crafty too!  I actually can’t believe that next weekend we’ll be into September already!  Fall is coming which means hubby and I can enjoy some football game time!

Hard to believe that it’s time for a monthly Art Journal page and collaboration with my crafty friend, Carol (from Crafty-Stamper), so please check out her blog for more inspiration too!🥰  We’re trying to get creative by using up our never-ending stash piles!  So here’s my Art Journal inspiration with the “SMASH OUR STASH” August prompt of “liquid drops/enamel dots/brads/eyelets” :

Yes, it’s the never-ending supply of those enamel things, brads and eyelets!  I didn’t even use any eyelets on my page today, but at least I pulled out a few brads, enamel dots and even some liquid enamel drops too!

So I could take you down that “rabbit hole”😁 of how this page came about from seeing a couple of mushrooms out in our backyard that just weirdly keeps popping out randomly the last few months, but needless to say, I ended up with this page.  As a child I have always loved Alice in Wonderland and imagined myself secretly finding these amazing new worlds and having conversations with odd characters.  I do enjoy getting lost in a good book!

The background page was printed out with adding the Cheshire Cat image over top. (The wording was also printed out with the cat.)  I stamped some other wording over the printed background, splattered some paint and took an empty plastic roll dipped in gold paint and randomly stamped that all over it too.  I used my finger to also add some gold paint along the edges.  The mushroom image is from Power Poppy which I’ve printed, colored with Copics and fussy cut them out with the one in the front popped up with foam tape. I die cut a grass border at the bottom and tucked one of the cut out mushrooms behind the grass blades and then cut off all the excess.  I’ve attached this entire page to a heavy weight 140# cardstock that was ink blended with chocolate ink around the edges.  I took a strip of Graphics 45 Alice in Wonderland decorative paper and attached it to the right side of the page.  I was then able to punch out the holes at the top for my AJ book.

So when you look at the bottom of the page, you can see the mushrooms and how I’ve added some white Nuvo Liquid Drops to the red tops.  I think this really makes them pop and give dimension!  With the same Graphic 45 decorative papers, I’ve cut out the “tea set playing card” image, blended around the edges and added a blue brad in each corner of it.  I also added a bit of sparkle to the flying horse.  This cut out playing card was attached below sentiment over the background mushroom and grassy border.

You will also notice the “Eat Me bottle” at the top of the mushroom which was printed out separately from the background page, Copic colored and fussy cut out.  I attached it over top of the large mushroom and added a ribbon enamel at the top of it.  I also took my glitter brush pen and added something rising from the bottle…mysterious?!

Here’s a closer view of the enamel bow at the top of the bottle along with the mysterious glitter coming from it.  I’ve also added some of the glitter brush pen to the Cheshire Cat’s eyes too.  I thought I had room to add another three sparkly gold enamel dots to the top right and call this one done.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my AJ page today or have been inspired in some way!  Thanks so much for dropping in and I’ll be seeing you soon!

Gettin’ My Halloween On + GIVE AWAY!

Hello friends!  It’s been a minute or two since my last posting as I had been sick and then totally lost my “MOJO” during that point! So I was trying to get it going again with a few Halloween projects!  I have been playing with some new Taylored Expressions goodies and I thought it would be fun to give away some TE stuff as well!😀  Stay tuned to the end of this post!

  • click on the photos below to enlarge them if you’re on my website:

Now how cute are all of these critters, ghouls and creeps?!  As you may remember from my last post, I had been having so much fun creating with the Taylored Expressions Create-in-Quads stencils, so I had my play with the Halloween Create-in-Quads with the makes above!  I stenciled some black, candy corn, plum punch and lime zest colors, plus I went over the lime zest with some glow-in-the-dark glitter paste.  The stencil quads make two A2 sized backgrounds as well as the cat and witch cauldron too!  There is also coordinating dies to cut out the cat and witch that I used to cut out for the second set of cards.  For all of the cards, I’ve used the TE Frame in Frame 3 dies (free from an order a while back) that was cut with some black cardstock. I’ve also used the TE Simple Strips-Halloween stamped and heat embossed with some black glitter EP and cut out with the TE Asymmetrical Simple Strips Die for each card.

The set of cards on the left were created with the stenciled backgrounds and then with the black frames, I’ve added a character from a “free with purchase” Gus & Gertie Halloween stamp set.  The bird saying “boo” is in a bat costume.😅  I popped up the sentiment strip, bird and dog with foam tape.  I die cut the “boo” sentiment with a speech bubble die from my stash.  The ghoul card was made with the awesome TE Monster Squad die set.  I placed a piece of vellum behind the black frame so the ghoul stood out a bit more, die cut my pieces as I wanted and attached it right above the sentiment strip.  I added a green googly eye as well as a few die cut stars from silver metallic cardstock.

The set of cards on the right was put together with a couple of different unique backgrounds. On the black cat card, I used the TE Superstar Rotating Stencil and stenciled once with candy corn and only rotated once using the glow-in-the-dark glitter paste again.  I finished it by splattering black and white paint over it.  Topped it off with the black frame, the kitty and sentiment strip.  I also used some Cosmic Drip Drops for kitty’s eyes. (These were also used on the bows of the witch’s shoes too!)  For the witch background, I silver foiled one of the TE Foil It-Spiderweb panels and then ink blended some grey ink over a couple of the webs.  I then added the black frame, the witch and the sentiment strip. Lastly, I added a couple of spiders cut out with the TE Little Bits-Spiders die set.

These ghosts make me smile every time I see them with those faces!👻  For these set of cards, I pulled out the TE G-G-G-Ghost Stamp & Stencil Combo.  I didn’t used any TE inks, but pulled out my oxide inks for an ombre looking color to make these different backgrounds. The stencil was used for the faces by heat embossing some black glitter EP over VersaMark ink through the stencil. The purple is A2 sized and the set of cards on the right as mini slim cards.  I continued using my sentiment strips that were previously used on the card sets above, but with these I’ve added a black layer that I just cut from cardstock.  I’ve also used TE Ghost Gang Die & Clear Combo set to cut out the ghosts popped up around the sentiments and stamped their faces.

For the purple ghost card, I used the silver foil negative from the “witch spiderweb background” card and foiled a cut out TE On the Block-Boo Shadow die which was popped up with several layers of die cut black ones.  I popped up the die cut ghost over the foiled “boo” as well as the sentiment strips.

For the set of mini slim cards, I did pretty much the same style as the purple, but for the “boo” sentiment I used the TE Boo Script + Backer and die cut 2 of the sentiments with black cardstock and then heat embossed it with the black glitter EP.  I placed it over the vellum die cut backer and attached to the card front.  I popped up the ghosts and the sentiment strips with foam tape.

Lawn Fawn Fever!

Hello friends!  I have LOTS to catch up on with all of the blogging of projects that I’ve been working on over the last few months, so I will probably share several projects within one post until I can get caught up!

I know that Christmas in July is going on everywhere right now, so I thought I’d share that along with a few other projects I had going on during my “Lawn Fawn Fever” episode!  I have loved their cute little critters for so long and hope you enjoy what I’ve made:

It’s been a while since I even played along with a Lawn Fawnatics challenge, so I decided to join this one which is asking to see your Lawn Fawn “Fun with Food” challenge projects.  What could be more fun than sharing Christmas cookies?!  I’m not sure I’d share any with mice…but these guys are too cute and add some more fun to the scene.  They’re a bit older and I know I’ve had the set for several years as it was one of the STAMPtember sets called “Merry Christmouse“.

I used some older Lawn Fawn papers from my stash to create the table and backdrop setting and then cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Rectangle dies.  I used the following sets which include the one mentioned above for my scene: How You Bean?, How You Bean? Christmas Cookie Add On, and Thanks a latte.  I Copic colored them and even added a few stamped images over the cookies including some Chunky Glitter

For the mouse hanging over the hot cocoa cup, I cut around his arms to fit over the cup.  I popped up the candy cane as well at the mouse next to the jar for depth on the scene.  I added some touches of glitter and then on the mouse Santa hat, I took some liquid applique and heated it up until it was puffy.  The sentiment was white heat embossed over the dark chocolate cardstock and then I just used my scissors to cut it out and attach at the top.  Really fun scene to create!

I also took part on Friday with the “Hive Five Kit” class they did using the adorable new Hive Five card kit they came out with recently.  I think everything is sold out now, but they mentioned that they might come out with some of the items in the future.  You can check out the video HERE if you’re interested in seeing what we did.  I changed mine up a bit, but pretty similar to what was shown for us.

The first card, I made my sentiment too high so I had to “arrange it” how it worked for me and I wanted it to be a birthday card instead.  The other project was just the hexagon tag.  I changed mine into a shaker and then added to a card.  I also added the speech bubble on this one.

The products included with the card kit were really fun and I’m glad I got it!

The majority of this card came from a fun little kit that my sweet blog friend Shirley gifted me included with a SWAP that I was in with her. (Details of that are below.)  Really love that she included the backdrop for the sky which worked out perfectly!  I actually already purchased this awesome Lawn Fawn Platform Pop-Up die along with the Platform Pop-Up Add-on and the Upon a Star stamp set and dies, but she was so very kind to have all of these pieces already stamped and cut out for me!  I just colored in the critters and the stars, added a few more here and there along with some glitter, white heat embossed the sentiment over the navy cardstock and put it together.

I hadn’t even broken out my Platform die at the time, so this was my first time putting one together!  It looks a little more intimidating than what it really is, so I had lots of fun with it!  Thanks so much for sharing the fun with me my friend!  I can’t wait to attempt another one soon! (Thanks for helping me with my addiction!😁)

And as I had mentioned above, I was asked if I’d be interested in joining this “Summer Sampler SWAP” with my wonderful blog friends Patti, Shirley and Donna along with a few other ladies to take part with!  When it was described to me, I quickly realized that I had seen these 12″ x 12″ sized papercraft stamped samplers all over Pinterest.  Of course, I had thought to myself that would be fun to create and never did.

Each square is 3-1/4″ and we each were to use the same color for the back layer so it was all similar for the finished project to coordinate well.  So 9 of us created 9 squares, kept one for ourselves and then mailed out the others to each person in the swap.  Really fun to see everyone’s idea here with the theme of “SUMMER” too!  I love them all and thought how fun that each one is so different from the others!

This is my finished 12″ x 12″ shadow box framed piece with everyone’s squares that I’ve attached to a wood panel background paper.  I have it hanging on the wall.  I think this would be so fun for each season or even gifts!  Hope we can do another one!😉

And here’s the square that I did for the swap.  I zoomed in to take the photo and it’s behind the glass, so it’s not a real great look at it, but as you see, I’ve used Lawn Fawn again! LOL

I had some fun 4th of July papers and thought it would be neat to make somewhat of a shaker element with confetti stars.  I’ve used the Lawn Fawn Dandy Day Flip Flop set along with a mouse from the Bubbles of Joy set for the front of my square.  I was trying to give the impression that the mouse had a sparkler and the sparks were flying while the other mouse was enjoying the show. I used glitter and die cut a star from silver glitter cardstock for the center of the dandelion.  I added a red bow at the top.  I thought with using a shadow box frame that the dimension wouldn’t be an issue and it wasn’t.

There’s always something fun to keep me hopping, so I know you’ll see more soon including the wedding & painting class projects!  I promise I’ll get there!  Thanks for dropping by!!

Challenge Up Your Life-Fun in the Sun

Happy June 1st friends!  This month will bring us into the Summer months which means it’s time for all of those fun outdoor activities!  I’m also getting ready for lots of things going on this month including my son’s wedding!  So I know I’ll be busy!  How about you?

This is my last time to be joining the “Challenge Up Your Life” challenge blog as a guest designer.  I’ve had a great time with them as a guest for the past three challenges and appreciate being asked!  Today their new monthly challenge for June is “Fun in the Sun“.  Hope you can share your lovely creations with us this month!  (Check out the challenge blog for details and inspiration!)  And here’s my take on this theme:

What could be more fun than a cute little fairy sipping a drink floating on a lily pad?!  Love those shades too!

There happened to be a good sale on a few digital stamps from LOTV recently and so I snatched a few and this was one of them that I fell in love with.  This one is called Water Lily, of course.  (The sentiment also came from the same company.)  She looked like she was having some “fun in the sun” for sure, so I colored her up with my Copic markers and die cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die.  I’ve also used a scalloped stitched die to cut out a piece of pink cardstock to go with some of the colors in the image.

For the background papers, I’ve found some great *yellow rainbow paper from Lawn Fawn and then I used a *sun die from My Favorite Things and cut out with some yellow glitter cardstock. (*These items have retired)  I took a wave die from Lawn Fawn and cut out a strip from vellum and used my blue marker to add some color towards the top of the waves.  To attach the strip, I wrapped it around the layers and glued it from behind.  I then added the ribbon with the bow and attached these layers to an A2 top folding white card base.

Here’s a closer look at the image with the coloring I’ve done.  I’ve used a gold gel pen to color in her head band and then a silver one to color in the little “dots” on the ends of her glasses.  I used a glitter brush pen over her sunglass lenses as well as her wings.

I finished the card off with a few colorful sequins.

So does that look like something you’d be having some “Fun in the Sun” with?!  I know I sure would!😎

I sure hope to see you playing along with us this month with your creations!  I also hope that you’ve enjoyed my inspiration as guest designer for these challenges the last few months.  Thanks for your support friends!

Hopping By For an Easter Hi

Hello friends!  I don’t make too many Easter cards, but I sure do love those cute bunnies, the Spring theme and of course who doesn’t love a good chocolate candy or two?!  I’ve been seeing some bunnies hopping around my yard lately and so they’ve inspired me!  Since the month of March is starting to run away from me, I wanted to participate in a few challenges going on.

This cute little bunny waving out his hand to say “hello” is Bunny from Inky Stamper!  He comes with the bow tie I have colored and popped up with foam tape.  He also comes with the sentiment as well as the smaller egg hiding among the grass.  Such a CUTE stamp set not just for Easter, but other occasions too!

For the Inky Stamper Inkspiration FB Group, the challenge for the month of March is “stitching” and it can be any sort of stitching.  I’ve pulled out some Doodlebug Swiss Dot papers along with a special Doodlebug Cute & Crafty paper pad (used for the large egg) to create my scene.

I’ve used lots of fun stitched style dies to help me out including the stitched hexagon die from the Inky Stamper Mini Envie Die set you see at the top to create a border. I’ve also used the Taylored Expressions Stitched With Love Cutting Plate over my stitched oval piece. (You will see this same cutting plate in the card below too.)  I’ve also used some stitched cloud dies from Lawn Fawn.  I’ve also used a grass border die for the bunny to stand on too.

Once I’ve die cut and placed all of my images and die cut pieces together on my card front, I took a black marker and a white gel pen to create stitch lines for the challenge theme as well.  I even added stitch marks to the small egg and the bunny’s bow tie.  The sentiment was white heat embossed over a black strip and attached to the large oval “egg” and I’ve added some glossy accents to the bunny’s eyes.  I think he turned out pretty cute!

This card was made for the #TEMaker challenge in the Taylored Expressions FB Fan Group.  The challenge for March is using the colors Lavender Glaze & Potato Chip and/or Easter Parade (Easter/Spring theme).  There are SO MANY cute Easter products, but I was trying to use some things that I haven’t pulled out yet.

As in the card above, I’ve used the TE Stitched With Love Cutting Plate over a piece of Toffee cardstock.  I used a double stitched circle die to cut it out along with another piece of white cardstock to layer behind the Toffee.

The center of the circle was made by taking the Lavender Glaze and Potato Chip cardstock and using the Easy Strips 1/4″ die and layering them over a double adhesive sheet.  Once I’ve cut it down to size, I attached it over the white A2 top folding card base and stamped the Full Circle -Easter stamp in Toffee ink.  I took a white pencil to color in portions of the images within it.

I then used foam tape to pop up the toffee layer over top centering the circle image through it.  I white heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set and die cut from a banner die in my stash and popped it up over the center of the circle image.  I also die cut a Lavender Glaze frame from the TE A2 Think Frame Cutting Plate and attached to the card along with a little white bunny from the TE Little Bits-Oh Hoppy Day die set. I sponged some brown ink around the edges and glued a white pom pom for his tail and attached him right above the frame on the right bottom of the card.

It looks like he’s getting ready to hop into the hole to join his other Spring friends.

Well I HOP you’ve enjoyed my Easter cards today, or at least gotten a smile or been inspired in some way!  Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in as I enjoy hearing from you!

Penny’s Paper-Crafty Guest Designer “Sealed With Love”

Hello friends and happy Wednesday!  We seem to be rolling well into this month of March and my thoughts are turning to Spring and being able to get outdoors again after the cold winter months get put behind us!  I’m seeing a couple of buds on my daffodils…yay!

Pennys Challenge Blog BadgeI’m super excited to be sharing a card with you today that I’ve made for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog as a guest designer for their #517 challenge!  Last month, I had won a top pick for a prize as well as a future guest design spot with my calendar cards that I had entered.  The challenge is always “Anything Goes using Paper“, so I hope you will take the time to join in the fun with us for this challenge!  Here’s what I’ve created:

Isn’t this fella so cute?!  I was given a few choices of images from the challenge sponsor(s) to use for my creation and I picked out this adorable image from Pattie’s Creations called, of course, “Snail Mail“.  You can click on the name to get him in the store!  Who doesn’t love a good snail mail especially with that adorable smile!🐌  I colored him up with my Copic markers adding a few dotted details with my white gel pen.  He was fussy cut with scissors and popped up with foam tape.

So I thought it would be fun to create a background for him using the Taylored Expressions Sealed With Love background stamp.  I used the heart stamp to give color and then colored the one envelope underneath the snail.  I also used the sentiment in the clear set that comes with it and white heat embossed it over a strip of cardstock that was later added to the design.

I cut the background in half diagonally and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Portrait Backdrop die and then sponged some blue ink over top of it.  I used the top portion of it for my card front and cut this piece as well as the bottom stamped piece with the Lawn Fawn Small Cross-Stitch Rectangle Stackables die.  To break up the section of where these two pieces meet on the front, I took some dark brown cardstock and cut a strip with a My Favorite Things border die.  I layered this onto a piece of cardstock that was used for the sentiment and that’s where the ends of the scallop border was cut off.  I then attached all of the layers onto an A2 sized white top folding card base.

I decided to die cut some hearts out with the same colored cardstock (as the sentiment piece) to place above the snail’s head.  I added some sparkle over them with some Stickles “Star Dust” glitter.  I used it for the snails antennas and underneath his body where he’s sliding across to deliver his envelope.

I do hope that you’ve enjoyed my creation today for Penny’s challenge and will think about popping over there to see the wonderful inspiration from the design team!  I sure had fun playing along too!

Thanks for dropping by and I’ll see you soon!

Stinky Love and TS Card Hero Auction

Hello friends!  Happy Friday and I hope that your having a great week so far!  I’ve been having some fun creating a couple of Valentine’s Day cards with a fun/snarky inside greeting.  Plus, I wanted to share something going on starting today for a worth-while cause! (Scroll through post for details!)

So I absolutely fell in love with these STINKIN’ CUTE skunks from Lawn Fawn!  A few weeks ago, I caught a live on FB and enjoyed the crafty products shown with these Lawn Fawn Scent with Love stamps!  I wanted to play with them and decided to order it!  I didn’t have them on hand during the video, but I decided to do my own spin from their cards once mine showed up in the mail.

I didn’t use the heart stencil they had as I decided to use my TE Heart of Hearts Layering Stencil on both of these cards.  I’ve used some clear glitter paste over the first layer without using the largest heart, let it dry and then used some red ink for the second layer.  The red strip was embossed with a 3D heart folder.  I’ve used the Lawn Fawn Scripty Love die that was ink blended faded with the red ink and layered over another die cut sentiment with glitter cardstock.  All of the images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with coordinating dies. I’ve used some black glaze and white gel pens for accents.  I just glued all of the pieces down with the exception of the skunk that was popped up with foam tape.

OK, I had share the inside of the card that the recipient will be receiving as I thought they would get a kick out it. 😆  I’ve used the SSS Sassy Insides stamp set for the inside of both of these cards.  I finished with the Valentine sentiment and the tiny hearts from the Lawn Fawn set.

And so this is also a “spin off” from the second card they did on the live, but I decided not to add another layer to it; instead, I used the large heart within my stencil to center these darling hugging skunks.  I did about the same thing that I did on the card above with different colored inks.  The only thing popped up is the skunks over the sentiment banner that I cut out using the MFT Stamps banner dies.  I think this turned out so cute for a one layer simple card.

And then here’s what the inside of the card looks like with another sentiment from the same SSS stamp set that I’ve used on the above card! 😆  I think this one was so appropriate for using with the skunks!

So I’m thinking that these cards would be something fun for the recipients to receive in the mail.  It’s a great time of year to get something to chuckle about especially if it’s unexpected!  I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing them too!

Thanksgiving Cuteness

Hello! Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow for my U.S. friends!  Just wanted to pop in here to share this fun little card I made to help me get into the Thanksgiving mood and I needed a bit of a giggle which is what I was doing as I colored these fun critters:

Aren’t these guys hilarious?!  This is one of the stamp sets that was released during the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember event this year and of course if you recognize the critters, then you know it was designed by Newton’s Nook.  The stamp set is called “Talk Turkey” and was only available during this event.  I don’t make very many Thanksgiving cards, but when I saw this stamp set come out, it just had me giggling and so I nabbed it up!  I think I would certainly enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with this crew!

For the card, I ink blended the background with the distress inks:  Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey and Scattered Straw.  I spritzed with water and dried the splotches with a towel.  (I’ve done the same method with the sentiment strip too.)  I then used some black and white paint to splatter over it and set aside to dry.

While waiting for the panel to dry, I colored up all of the images with my Copics.  I’ve added some gold and white gel pen marks in certain places and then I fussy cut them all out leaving a white border around them.

I took a strip of green cardstock and die cut a grassy border and attached to the background panel.  I cut both of these layers out with a stitched scallop die and then cut out the black embossed sentiment with a banner die.  I then arranged all of the images where I wanted them and glued them down.  I took the banner and popped it up with foam tape.  I added the leaves and covered them with a glitter brush pen for a bit of sparkle.  I attached all of these layers to a white A2 card base and cut off the sentiment strip along the edge.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and it made you smile!  Thanks for dropping by!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving with love, laughter and lots of thankfulness in your heart.🦃
