It’s the April Anything Goes for Cute Card Thursday!

Hello friends!  This week has completely flown by me so very fast!!  I can’t believe how quickly it went and I’m thinking being outside in the warmer weather will make it go even quicker!  Summer will be here soon, right?!

Today is Thursday and also the first Thursday of the month, which means it’s time for our regular “Anything Goes” theme at Cute Card Thursday!  We are also sponsored by our regular monthly sponsor Whimsy Stamps!  So of course, you know I’m going to be using one of those for my creation today:

Vicki-CCT576-WSElfie

Isn’t she just a cutie?!  This newly released digital image is called Elfie from Whimsy Stamps.  I’ve been starting to see a few lady bugs here and there around my area, but I actually don’t like it when they are everywhere!  Otherwise, I can take them on a card and think they’re so cute!

After coloring her up, I cut her out with a stitched circle die and layered another circle with black cardstock behind her.  I also cut out the Whimsy Stamps Friend Word die set with black cardstock and set it aside to work on the rest of my card.

I pulled out this embossing folder with lady bugs (by Darice) and embossed a piece of red cardstock with it.  I took some white ink to lightly go over it to highlight the texture a bit.  I layered this piece onto a piece of black and then layered these over a white A2 sized top folding card base.  The circle image was place towards the right of the card and then I just cut off the excess circle with scissors.

I stamped the “hello” from the Whimsy Stamps Painted Sayings clear stamp set with black ink next to the image.  The “friend” die cut piece was glued at the bottom of the card.  I also took the WS Quick Strips die set to cut out a couple of stitched banners from some shimmer paper and added them to the side of the circle.  Lastly, I’ve put the black gingham ribbon bow over the banner strips and added the lady bugs and sequins to the design.  I filled the sequins with some Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops.

Vicki-CCT576-WSElfie-close

Here’s a closer look at the coloring of this cutie.  I’ve used some Copic markers to color her in and then I’ve used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen to add some shimmer over her wings and the wings on the butterfly.  Here’s the list of Copics I’ve used:

  • Hat, skirt, shoes and ladybug – R39, R37, R35, R32, C8, C5, C3
  • Shirt, leaves – G24, G21, G20
  • Hair – E49, E47, E44, E43
  • Skin – E21, E13, E00, E000, R20

Vicki-CCT576-WSElfie-flat

I think there are so many different ways you could color up this image, but I saw her holding this little ladybug and so I just went with that theme when coloring.  Hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and got inspired!

Purple Day Epilepsy Awareness Blog Hop

Hello friends!  I am very honored to be joining my friend Fikreta Posavec to support her efforts in “Purple Day” for Epilepsy Awareness.

Please take a moment to read:

Purple Day is a global grassroots event formed with the intention to increase worldwide awareness of epilepsy, and to dispel common myths and fears of this neurological disorder. Further intentions of this movement are to reduce the social stigmas commonly endured by many individuals afflicted with the condition; to provide assurance and advocacy to those living with epilepsy that they are not alone in their ongoing endurance; and to initiate individuals living with the condition to take action in their communities to achieve these aims.

The day occurs annually on March 26.

 Formation and history

The concept of Purple Day was initiated by a 9-year-old named Cassidy Megan and was motivated by her own struggle with epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia helped to develop Cassidy’s idea, and the first Purple Day event was held on March 26, 2008, and is now known as the Purple Day for Epilepsy campaign.

In 2009, the New York-based Anita Kaufmann Foundation and Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia joined to launch Purple Day internationally and increase the involvement of numerous organizations, schools, businesses, politicians and celebrities around the world. On March 26, 2009, over 100,000 students, 95 workplaces and 116 politicians participated in Purple Day. In March 2009, the official USA Purple Day Party launch was organized by the Anita Kaufmann Foundation. Canadian Paul Shaffer of the Late Show with David Letterman attended the official launch at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City.

In March 2012, Purple Day received the Royal Assent and became a legal day for epilepsy awareness in Canada.

In December 2015, Electronics retailer Dick Smith had arranged a major corporate partnership with Epilepsy Action Australia to support Purple Day in Australia with a $50,000 cash sponsorship, prizes and exclusive distribution of Purple Day merchandise. A week prior to Purple Day celebrations in 2016, Dick Smith was placed in receivership. Later, the Retail Food Group provided a $50,000 donation to match Dick Smith’s previously promised sponsorship.

My own experience with epilepsy revolved around someone in my childhood school.  She was constantly made fun of because of certain behaviors she had due to epilepsy and I wasn’t aware of her condition, but naturally felt sorry for her.  Due to me trying to be nice to this person, I quickly became someone who was also made fun of for it.  Children can be cruel, but I’m sure that the long term affects of what this person went through were very traumatic and long lasting.  I watched her collapse in her yard with a seizure and was so scared. (This is how I learned about what she had.) She was embarrassed about it and didn’t want to talk with anyone about it.  I have since lost contact with that person from school years, but think of this time with my heart still going out to that person and wishing her a happy life.

My hope is that there is more education about this in the school system and especially since it can be very dangerous and children need to be aware of it along with what to watch for and/or to tell a teacher what is going on or how to help.  If other children are more aware, then maybe stigma can be less severe for children with epilepsy.  It would be so hard for a child to speak out about something they are being made “ashamed’ for.

Fikreta has brought us together for a fun blog hop to bring awareness to PURPLE DAY and educate people about this condition that her husband has.

Here is the special card that I’ve made for this blog hop:

Vicki-PurpleDayBlogHop-MFTWSC429

I had so much fun with this card!  I first started out by making a panel with alcohol inks over some Yupo paper.  I didn’t have the MFT Triangle dies, so I made myself a stencil and cut out my own from the alcohol background I made.  I then white heat embossed the sentiment from the MFT All About You stamp set and cut out the black strip and attached in the center between the triangle layout.  I then cut out this panel with the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and added some splatters with some Brutus Monroe purple “basket grass” Aqua pigment and water.  (Love the shimmer it created too!  See the photo below.)

Next, I cut out the “you” die from some Brutus Monroe Spring collection glitter stock and placed it underneath the black strip sentiment.  Lastly, I stamped one of the cute little Yetis from the MFT Beast Friends stamp set and colored him with my Copics.  I popped him up over the bottom portion of the design with some foam dots.  Lastly, I’ve added some Brutus Monroe Unicorn Bottlecap Sequins and filled the centers with Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops.

Vicki-PurpleDayBlogHop-MFTWSC429-close

Here’s a closer look at this cute little guy and how I’ve colored him up.  I’ve used a light purple tone marker to color the outer “fur” portion of his body.

Vicki-PurpleDayBlogHop-MFTWSC429-flat

Here’s the card lying flat, and you can see in the light how those splatters shimmer!  Those aqua pigments are very awesome to play with!!

Another Pot O’ Gold!

Hi there friends!  I guess I am really feeling the luck of the Irish this week!  I have another fun St. Patrick’s Day themed card to share today:

Vicki-SNSPotOGold

My card here may seem a bit simple, but it has a few really fun added extras to really make it shinny and glittery!  I have used Lil Leprechaun (Digital only stamp set).   I took the pre-colored versions of the set and arranged them in a blank Word.doc for how I wanted it to appear on my card front.  I used the clover images and resized them to fit around the bottom of the pot of gold area and then placed the sentiment where I wanted it off to the side.

I then printed it out and then cut it out with the Nuvo Basics Rectangle dies.

I used a couple of Copic green markers to make the “blades of grass” next to the pot of gold and clovers.  I also used some colored chalk to sponge in some colors for the rainbow behind the pot of gold.

Vicki-SNSPotOGold2

Here you can also see on the panel where I’ve taken some Super Thick Gold EP and sprinkled some in the corners of my image panel and then heat set it from underneath.

I also took a Nuvo Precision Glue Pen to add some “dots” in the center of the clovers and then of course used the Shamrock Glitter to go over them!  I also covered the coins in the pot with the glue and sprinkled some Champagne Glitter over them for some sparkle!

With the same Champagne Glitter that I used on the coins in the pot, I also took some Sticker Paper and covered an entire panel with it and burnished it in!  The shimmer and glitz on this are stunning in person and really sets off the card!  I’ve also used the Glitter Brush to take away the excess glitter particles and it’s a must have for clean up too!  (Instead of clinging to the brush, it repels it away!)  These sheets are somewhat thin, so I made sure that I’ve added some layers of cardstock in between this glitter panel for stability to the card.  (Keep this in mind if you are using the sticker paper for this idea.)

Vicki-SNSPotOGold-flat

I tried to capture some of the sparkle in the photo, but it really looks brilliant when you are holding it in person! 🙂

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and I really appreciate you stopping in!

Whimsy Stamps St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations Week!

Hello friends!!  I’m so happy that we are into March as I hope to be feeling warmer temps and “seeing the green” very shortly over my way!  I’m more than ready for that!

In the meantime, how about we celebrate with some inspiration!

Vicki-WSPatricks Day Celebrations

I have made this super fun (mostly green) card especially for this fun event with the really adorable Little Leprechaun digital stamp by Crissy Armstrong.  I thought he was so cute sitting atop his pot of gold with his new winged friend there!  He was so fun to color up for this card! (See the Copic list below!)

For the card, I started out with some watercolor paper, and I’ve used some Aqua pigments (liquid watercolor from Brutus Monroe) and some extra water for the background of my card, then I cut it out with the Whimsy Stamps Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies.  I also used this to cut out the leprechaun image too.  I’ve used some gold mirror cardstock to mat a layer of it behind the image panel.

I thought it would be fun to add a rainbow behind the image panel, so I took the WS Kinetic Curved Hills die set and cut strips with the straight curve die in the colors of the rainbow and added the strips over the background.  Then I attached the layered image panel and took the WS No-See All Seasons Tree die set to cut some grass and mushrooms to attach at the bottom of the card.  I used a white gel pen to color the spots on the tops of the mushrooms.  I also sponged some ink over all the pieces.  One of the sections of grass was popped up with foam tape.  Lastly, I took an older sentiment from Whimsy Stamps and made a banner that was popped up with foam tape over the design.  I then mounted the entire card panel over an A2 top folding white card base.

Vicki-WSPatricks Day Celebrations-close

Here you can see a close-up view of the coloring.  I have used the following Copics to color in the image with:

  •  pot, hat band, stockings, coat trims & dragonfly body:  C8, C5, C3
  • Leprechaun outfit:  C09, C07, G05, G03, Y11, Y13
  • Leprechaun gold trim and coins:  Y17, Y15 (layered over with gold gel pen)
  • hair, skin, dragonfly wings:  E09, E23, E21, E00, E000, Y11, R20, R00
  • clover on hat:  YG97, YG95
  • outline of image and “dots”:  C3, C1, C0, Y11, gold gel pen

You can also see the rainbow has some shimmer on it.  This is where I took a Spectrum Noir clear glitter brush pen to go over it.  You can also see a bit of shimmer from the Aqua pigments in the background…they’re really stunning, and I’ll be using them again in the future, so be sure to check back!! 🙂

Vicki-WSPatricks Day Celebrations-flat

I wanted to bring out some more of that gold with the mirror layer behind the leprechaun, so I brought some gold sequins into the layout and filled them with some gold Stickles.  When you hold this card up to the light, the whole thing really shimmers and sparkles!!  I loved how it turned out!  I hope you’ve enjoyed it too!

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

Imagine…You’re Home!

Hello friends!  I have to say that I’m very happy that we’ve started the month of March and I really look forward to seeing the bit of green and growth soon to come!

Today, I have a card using this new stamp set:

Vicki-SNSCottage

Today, my card features this really fun Lil Garden Cottage rubber stamp set.  I have colored it up with my Copic markers and I’ve used the packaging from the stamp set to help with color suggestions.  (I really like that when stamp sets have a colored version on their product labels!)

Since last year I’ve been noticing lots of “fairy garden” projects, and I am amazed at how many “tiny” items that are available to purchase so that you can create your own little garden!  This image sort of reminds me of that!  I think I like creating my own little “fairy garden” on paper! 🙂  Do any of you like to make Fairy Gardens?

For the base of my card, I’ve used an A2 sized top folding kraft card base.  I took my VersaMark ink to stamp the tiny mushroom images from the set along the bottom edge of the base.  I also took another piece of kraft cardstock and heat embossed part of the sentiment with the White EP and then cut it out from a circle die.  I set these pieces aside while working on the rest of my card.

Vicki-SNSCottage3

After coloring in the image, I also took the other portion of the sentiment “Imagine…” and stamped it next to the cottage image, but then heat set that one with the Coffee EP.  I also took an additional piece of white cardstock to layer behind the image panel.  For that piece, I took my VersaMark ink pad and sponged along the edges of it and also heat set that with the same Coffee EP as well.  You can also see at the top of the image panel that I’ve lightly blended in some distress ink to soften up the white a bit.

For the sparkly twine at the top, I created it by taking the 1/4″ Tear Tape and twisting it on itself and then I ran it through some Shamrock Glitter.  I took a piece of it to make a bow and then glued it over my design.

I took some craft foam to pop up this image panel a bit before attaching it to the kraft card base.  I also took some more craft foam to pop up the side of the circle sentiment panel as well.

Vicki-SNSCottage2

To add a bit of detail to my image and make it my own, I stamped, colored and fussy cut out each of the mushrooms as well as the snail and then attached them where I wanted them to show up on my image panel.

I used the Nuvo Precision Glue Pen to “color in” the areas where I wanted it to be green and then sprinkled some of that Shamrock Glitter over those areas.  I took the Nuvo White Crystal Drops to add a few “dots” over the red mushroom.  I then took the Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops (dries clear) and filled in the “window” on the cottage as well as the “snail shell” to add some shine to it.

Vicki-SNSCottage4

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and that you’ve been inspired!

Thanks so much for dropping in today!!  I’m so hoping that I can get back into catching up with you and getting caught up on entering challenges!  I do miss all of this!

Wishing you a happy day!

Cute Card Thursday Has Wings!

Hello friends!  It’s Thursday already which means it’s time for a brand new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday!  This is a really fun one to play with!  This week we’d like to see your “Wings” things!  Can’t wait to see what everyone makes!!

This week we are being sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps and I have used one of their lovely images for my card today:

Vicki-CCT569-ADUWings

Isn’t she the sweetest little thing?  I have used the Fairy Magic image that was kindly donated from our sponsor, and I have colored her up using Copic markers.  I’ve also sponged some light blue ink around the image panel before matting it onto a green sparkly layer cut with a scallop square die.  I also used some craft foam to pop up the image panel over my card for a bit of dimension.

I have just bought these gorgeous Fairy Garden papers from Kaiser Craft and used them on the background panel of my card.  I also used some gorgeous shimmery light green cardstock to go with it!  I’ve taken a thin strip of the glitter cardstock and attached it up against the butterfly papers and then attached some lace over it.  I then mounted this entire panel over a white top folding 5″ x5″ card base.

Vicki-CCT569-ADUWings-close

Here’s a closer view of the coloring and the little sparkly details I’ve added to her.   For the wings, I’ve taken a glitter brush pen over them and then used some metallic colored gel pens to add some dots to her wings as well as the butterfly wings along with some gold dots around her ribbons and the sentiment.

Here you can also see the wood veneer butterfly accent that I’ve added at the top.  I painted it with white gesso and then painted over it with some pretty pearl shimmer paint before attaching it to the card.

Vicki-CCT569-ADUWings-flat

Lastly, I’ve added three pearls at the bottom left corner of the card.  In this photo you can see the pretty shimmer on the light green background cardstock.  It was hard to capture in the photos, but the butterfly papers are sparkle embossed as well.

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

Spread Love at Whimsy Stamps

Hello friends!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Although it’s supposed to be VERY cold in January over my way, it has actually reached warm enough temperatures that we can cook out on the grill! I’ll take it for now as I don’t think it will last!

Have you been over to see the Digital January release at Whimsy Stamps yet?  There are SO MANY really fun and adorable images to color along with a couple of fun digital papers to help you finish up your cards!  Since Valentine’s Day is coming near, I decided to make a card with that in mind:

vicki-spreadlove-ca-jan8

I have used this darling Spread Love digital stamp by Crissy Armstrong.  I just adore her wings and “heart antlers” sprinkling hearts everywhere! 🙂

I have colored her up in Copic markers in the following:

  1.  Dress, shoes and a couple of the hearts – R85, R83, R81
  2. Heart on dress, heart antlers and other hearts – R24, R22, R21
  3. Wings – R00, BG000
  4. Hair – E27, E25, E23, E21
  5. Skin – E11, E00, E000, R20, R00 (cheeks)
  6. Around image – B000, E0000

I’ve also taken a cloud stencil to add some clouds in the background with an ink blender foam tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  I then embossed the sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Snow Flurry clear stamp set with some gold embossing powder.  I went around the edges of the image panel and added a few “dots” around the hearts with the Nuvo Honey Gold Glitter Drops.

For the background of the card, I’ve used the new Hearts a Flutter Digital Papers and cut out a piece with the Whimsy Stamps Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die.  I then trimmed this piece at an angle and attached it to a strip of this white punched border that I’ve made.  I’ve also cut out a piece of pink cardstock with the same die and trimmed this out an angle as well.  Both of these pieces were attached to an A2 sized white top folding card base.  The image panel was attached over a piece of craft foam and mounted to the front of the card along with the gold ribbon.

vicki-spreadlove-ca-jan8-close

Taking a closer view of this image, you can see on the wings that I’ve added some shimmer to them with a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen.  You can also see where I’ve taken a gold gel pen and went over the swirls in her dress as well as the “heart antler stems” on her head.  I always love to add little details like on my coloring and I hope you’ve enjoyed it today as well!

Thanks so much for dropping in and I’ll see you soon!

Embossing at Cute Card Thursday

Hello friends!  It’s time for another Cute Card Thursday challenge this week!  We would like to see some “embossing” on your creations this week!  You can make it heat embossed, dry embossed or I would say embossing paste would work too!  Or you could challenge yourself and try to combine more than one kind! 🙂

We are sponsored this week by All Dressed Up Stamps, so be sure to enter the gallery for your chance to win a prize!!  Here’s what I’ve created for this week’s challenge:

Vicki-CCT560-ADU-embossing

This is such a cute and fun image!    I thought it would make a really fun “New Year’s” type of card, so I created with that in mind.  This image from All Dressed Up is called Season to Sparkle.  I colored her up with Copic markers and then used a gold gel pen to color in her crown.  I’ve also taken the Spectrum Noir clear glitter brush pen and colored her dress with it.  The sparkle on her wings are liquid glue and loose glitter.

I’ve cut the image out with a Zig Zag circle die and then layered a piece of gold mirror cardstock cut with a circle behind it.  I attached the circle image panel over a dry embossed black card front panel that I’ve also wrapped some gold ribbon around and attached the bow to the front.

I also heat embossed the sentiment with some gold EP and cut out a banner strip to pop up over the circle image panel.  I cut the tail end to match the card front.  This card front panel was layered onto an A2 sized white top folding card base.

Vicki-CCT560-ADU-embossing-close

Here I wanted to show you a closer look at the image panel and the close-up details of the frantage embossing powder over it.  (This is such a fun embossing powder to play with!  You have to heat it up from underneath.)  You can also see the gold embossed sentiment too.  I did take some gold tinsel Stickles and added a few drops around the image for more sparkle.

Anything Goes for Cute Card Thursday

Well can you believe the first week in December is almost already done?!  Yikes!  Christmas is coming very quickly, so I’m happy to be making up some more Christmas cards as I post along here! 🙂

Today starts another new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday and this week it is an easy “Anything Goes“!  So play, create and have fun to your heart’s content and share it with us in the gallery over there!  We look forward to seeing what you’re working on!

Vicki-WS-Christmas Unicorn-CCT559-Dec6

Now I don’t know about you, but I think a unicorn for Christmas would be a “yes please”!  I have used the new December image by Crissy Armstrong called A Christmas Unicorn.  I thought there was lots of opportunity to really bling up this fun image!

First, I have colored up this image with the following Copic markers:

  1.  Unicorn mane/tail/hooves: W9, W7, W5, W3, W1, W0
  2. Unicorn body:  C3, C1, C0, R00 (nostril/ear)
  3. Unicorn horn:  YR24, Y23, Y21
  4. Candy Cane/Ornaments:  R39, R37, R35, C1 (white areas)
  5. Tree:  YG67, YG63, YG61
  6. Star/Bell:  YR24, Y17, Y15, Y13
  7. Ground/Around entire image:  B00, B000

Then I thought one of the sentiments from the Whimsy Stamps Penguins Christmas Sentiments 1 digital set fit perfect with this image.  I fussy cut it out by hand as to capture the curve in the design and then I used a sponge dauber to apply a bit of ink around the edges of it and glued it right underneath the image.  (I think it makes it look sort of like a little ‘snow drift’ in front of the unicorn.)

For the card front base, I’ve picked out some papers to use from the Whimsy Stamps Christmas Red, Gold & Green digital collection and then added a silver glitter strip as well as a red cardstock strip that I ran through an embossing folder and then rubbed some white ink over the raised areas.  I glued these pieces to the green paper and then cut it out with a stitched rectangle die.  I mounted this piece over a piece of red cardstock that I attached to an A2 sized top folding white card base.

Vicki-WS-Christmas Unicorn-CCT559-close

Now for the details of my image, I’ve used a Spectrum Noir clear glitter brush pen to go over the unicorn horn and bell around his chest.  I then covered the candy cane with some glossy accents.

For the garland around the tree, I took a Nuvo Precision Glue Pen and sprinkled on some Sassy Silver Glitter.  For the star, I used Diamond Dust Glitter, and then, for on top of the sentiment as well as along the edges of the image panel, I ran some Nuvo Liquid Glue over it and then sprinkled on some Waterscape Glitter.  (You can see the difference in the glitters next to each other.  The Waterscape is finer than the one I used on the star.)

Vicki-WS-Christmas Unicorn-CCT559-1

I’ve then mounted the image panel onto a piece of red cardstock and attached it to the front of the card front.  I took some silver sparkle cardstock and die cut three snowflakes and attached them to the left side of the image panel and added a red star rhinestone to the center of each one.

Really had fun with the festive colors and details on this one!  Hope you’ve enjoyed my card today!

Here are some challenges I’d like to enter my card for:

Traditional Mermaid Christmas

Hello friends!  Although it still feels a bit like summer outside where I’m from with the temps in upper 80s and 90s all week long, I enjoy creating Christmas and snow-themed cards any time of the year!  Besides, I know that once Fall hits, it will soon be time for Christmas to come along right behind it!  I have used this adorable September release from Whimsy Stamps once again to inspire you with a more traditional Christmas themed colors and design this time:

Vicki-ChristmasMermaid-Sept18

I have used this gorgeous Christmas Mermaid digital stamp by Crissy Armstrong for my card today.  She is an amazing image for the coloring enthusiasts for sure!

My last card with this image showed her in more soft pastel tones.  (You can see that post by CLICKING HERE if you don’t remember it.)  This time I went for a more traditional Christmas color theme.  I found some really cool green with white splatter pattern paper to use, so I worked around that by coloring the mermaid outfit in reds with gold trimmings.  I took inspiration from the gold ribbon, bells and buckle and added in more elements with some gold on my card as well.

I was almost too scared to try this, but after coloring the image, I took some white Shimmerz paint and a paint brush to add some white splattering effect over top of her to give the appearance of snow and to also coordinate with the pattern paper in the background.  I didn’t get too carried away, but just enough and then I cut her out with the Whimsy Stamps Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die set and took my ink foam blending tool and went around the edges with some Pine Needles distress ink.  I then took some gold cord and wrapped it around the two corners and then added a double bow with some red jingle bells on one end.  I also glued some cheese cloth on each corner before I added some foam tape behind her to mount her on the card design.

For the card design, the base is a red top folding 5.5″ square design with the green splattered pattern paper over it.  I took some chunky glitter and glued it around the edges and then perhaps you remember this “oldie but a goodie” border die from Whimsy Stamps along the edge of the image panel?  I cut it out with mirror gold card stock and then wrapped some gold silk ribbon over it and attached to the card.  I placed the foam taped image panel over top and then added the finishing touches over the image:

Vicki-ChristmasMermaid-Sept18-close

Here’s a closer look at the image where you can see all of the glitter and shimmer on her.  Before I splattered it, I covered her outfit with a clear glitter brush pen and went over her gold buckle and the jingle bells with a gold metallic gel pen.  I went over the tiny holly berries with a red metallic gel pen.  I then took some liquid glue and added some clear glitter to her hat and outfit trimmings along with the tiny creature’s hats.

After she was splattered, I added some gold sequins and then some gold Stickles in the centers of each one.

Those tiny creature faces just make me giggle every time! 🙂

I know she has tons of shimmer and sparkle, but she is a mermaid after all, and I do love adding a little bit of this and that as much as I can!  Do you like lots of bling?

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I truly appreciate your time!  I’ll see you again very soon!
