Stretching Out Inky Stamper Products

Hello friends!  I hope that you’re having a wonderful week so far!  We have experienced our very first snow accumulation this year and it was very pretty on the inside where it’s warm! LOL  It wasn’t necessary to shovel as it melted when it hit the pavement/streets, which makes it nice too!  I’m excited to be sharing some more Inky Stamper products with you today as I continue on with my Guest DT for this month.  This time it’s all about stretching out those products you purchase to get even more out of them which I’m sure we all need during this time of the year!

Isn’t this little mouse gnome the cutest?!  I don’t think I’ve seen a mouse gnome before, but this is another brand new stamp set from Inky Stamper called Gnome, of course!  (Click on the link(s) to see everything in the store)

I’m not only using this same stamp set for both of my projects today, but I wanted to point out that this one above is not a card, but it’s a gift card envelope that I’ve created using the Inky Stamper Mini Envie Die.  I love this die for quickly creating the perfect sized envelope to fit your gift card inside, but Chelsea also comes up with fun mini cards in alot of her kits that work great for tucking inside this envelope too!  (There’s a brand new kit in the store that has just came out using one of the brand new stamp sets making a mini card in her class.)  I also wanted to point out that this die can be cut from one of the 6×6 Doodlebug paper packs sold in the store too!

For the front of my envelope here: I thought it would be fun to create a little scene for my mouse gnome to hang up his stockings!  I took a strip from the Doodlebug Buffalo Check/Wood Grain paper pack to place along the bottom and stenciled some bricks for the background.  I stamped, colored and cut out the gnome with the coordinating die and I punched a small hole on each side of him where his hands are for the string.  I then took some of the “stockings” from the Picket Fence Fireplace Stockings sequins and attached them to the string that wraps around the back of the scene panel.  I added a sentiment from the same stamp set, popped up the gnome and attached to a piece of green glitter cardstock and then attached it to the envelope front.

Here you can see the other side of the envelope that I’ve white heat embossed the deer from this gnome stamp set and sponged some white ink around the edges.  Now to keep the envelope flap closed, you could wrap some twine or ribbon around it, but I love using the Inky Stamper Papercrafting Velcro because it’s the perfect size for this closure and it’s such a great price!  You can see how easily a gift card can fit right inside too!

And here’s another scene I’ve created using this adorable Gnome stamp set, but on a regular A2 sized card this time.

So as I was using the Inky Stamper Mini Envie Die for my gift card envelope above, I was looking at the other die pieces that come with this set and thought that the stitched triangle die would make for some great pine trees for my little mouse gnome scene.  I pulled out some Doodlebug Gingham/Linen as well as the Doodlebug Swiss Dot paper packs to cut out the triangles and design my scene with the “ground” and “snowy sky” too.  I placed the “sky” paper down first, added a curved “ground” and tucked in my formed triangle pines.  I also tucked in the wooden sign from the stamp set and stamped the greeting over it.  This gnome stamp set also has a tiny pipe that you can die cut out which is just the right size for the gnome.  You can see that I’ve tucked that in behind the gnome’s hand on the right and I added some “smoke” with a marker on the background too.

I thought that the Picket Fence Woodlands sequins would be perfect with our gnome, so I’ve attached a few over the “ground” area.  I also added some Picket Fence Icicles sequins to the “sky” area for the appearance of snowfall in the background.  I also added another white “snowflake” to the center of my gold cord bow at the top. This is a great way to stretch your sequins by making it apart of your main scene.

For the glittery “snow”, I’ve covered the pines, sign, the gnome, the mushrooms and “ground” with some white Nuvo Crystal Drops and then covered those areas with some loose glitter while it was still wet.  The reason for that is because if you just use glitter, it will dry clear and I wanted some white to show.

  • I hope you’ve enjoyed my mouse gnome projects today and have been inspired to see something different with the products that you have in your stash too!  Thanks so much for dropping in!  Be sure to check out the Inky Stamper Store as well as LIKE the Facebook page to see a live video on Tuesday nights.  There is also a fun InkyStamper Inkspiration Facebook Group to join for more inspiration and fun challenges each month too!

Inky Stamper *NEW* Stamps Inspiration!

Hello friends!  I’m really excited to be sharing some more inspiration today as a guest designer this month using some brand new Inky Stamper stamp sets that were just released!  Stop by the store and check them out…they’re so cute!

First, I have a couple of shaped interactive cards for those warm drinks as the temperatures start to cool down.  I made one for Autumn and shared it in the Inky Stamper FB Group and was asked how it I made it, so I thought I’d share that one along with another Christmas style version that I made too:

Aren’t these so cute with that little raccoon from the Inky Stamper Warm Beverages stamp set?!  The one on the right is the one I made with Fall colors covering the front of the cup with the Doodlebug Gingham/Linen paper pad.  I also used the Doodlebug Bon Bon Twine around the cup sleeve.

The cup on the left is more Christmas themed and I’ve used pretty much the same products, but just changed up the colors a little bit.  This cup is slightly different because it’s about 1/4″ shorter so that it would properly fit inside an A2 envelope.  The Autumn card was a bit snug, so I tweaked the size a bit more on the Christmas to make it fit nicely.

When you pull the lid off the top of the coffee cup, there is an insert with a greeting and/or a place where you can add a gift certificate.  These were so fun to create and easy to do!  Mass production could be possible for sure!

All that is needed are some measurements and a few tips along the way to get you started.  I thought it would be easier to understand with a video, so check that out below or watch on You Tube HERE.

I also had a birthday card that I needed to make for someone, so I thought I’d pull out the new Inky Stamper Hippo stamp set and have some fun with it!

Aren’t these party animals so cute?!  I thought this one would be fun to turn into a polaroid style, so I pulled out a square die to create my own polaroid frame with it!  I also cut another one in black cardstock so that I had a bit of dimension with it.  I stamped the sentiment from the set at the bottom of the frame.

The background behind the Hippo was created by white heat embossing the music note image from the stamp set over some Inky Stamper Watercolor Panels and then using some watercolors for an emboss resist background.  I colored up the Hippo, bird and party hat and cut them out to arrange over the background.  I added a couple of pieces of the Doodlebug Grey Swiss Dot Washi Tape over top of the Doodlebug Gingham/Linen Paper that was cut out with a wonky stitched die and attached to a white top folding A2 card base.  I found a couple of sequins from the Picket Fence Rubber Duckies mix and then filling the centers of them with yellow Stickles.

So many different things going on in this post, but I hope that you’ve enjoyed it and have been inspired to create something too!  Thank you so much for stopping in today!

Interactive Fun for Crafty Chefs + Video

Hello friends!  We are nearing the end of July and I wanted to be sure to try and get at least ONE “Christmas in July” project in before the month is gone, so I thought I’d keep things fun and simple as well as “kill 2 birds with one stone” so-to-speak!

It’s actually my turn to share a recipe with our “Crafty Chefs” group this time!  I’m doing the month of August and I need to share my recipe with the group slightly before the month or right on the 1st of the month.  (CLICK HERE for last month’s Crafty Chef project I made.)

Now we’re given one “must do” item from the previous chef to use on our recipe.  My item from Nana Connie was *”die cut” and so here is the project that I’ve made for this month’s “Crafty Chefs” group:

Vicki-DDSElves-squarefold

I have used a scallop square (cut from gold metallic mirror cardstock) and stitched square die cuts for layers on my project here.  I’ve taken this really cute elf image from the Christmas Elves Pairables digital set from Digi Doodle Studios on the front of my design.

I’ve printed out and colored the present from the same digital set along with another elf image (for his arm only) so that I could cut them out to make it look like he’s holding the gift.  His cut out arm was popped up with foam tape.  I’ve colored with Copic markers, added details with gel pens, liquid applique and Stickles glitter under his feet for snow affects.  I also stamped extra snowflakes for the background as well as add three snowflake rhinestones for accents.

Here’s the Crafty Chef’s August Recipe:

MUST DO:

  1.  *Die Cut (can also use electronic machine like Cricut, etc)
  2. Interactive (More than 1 fold eg: easel card, gatefold, etc.)
  3. Specialty Paper (foil, vellum, glitter, etc.)
  4. ribbon/twine/raffia

CAN DO:

  1.  Color an image
  2.  Add THREE of something
  3. **add glitter/sparkle – (this one I’m passing along to the next chef)

It doesn’t appear to be very interactive by looking at it, but when you untie the ribbon along the side, this is what it looks like when you open it up:

Vicki-DDSElves-squarefold-open

I have decorated two of the opposite panels with a greeting and then I’ve added a pocket to the top left panel so that I could include a gift card or cash to the recipient for Christmas!  I thought it was a super quick and fun interactive design to do!

If you are interested in learning how this project comes together, I’ve made a video sharing the measurements on how it’s done:  (CLICK HERE to see the video on You Tube.)

During this time of the year when it’s pretty warm over my way, it’s sort of a nice thought to think about some snow!  Plus, it always nice to get a start on some Christmas too!  (It’s not necessary for the “Crafty Chefs” to use a Christmas theme…it can be anything.)

I hope you’ve been inspired by my project today and have learned something fun in my video with it too!  (I have even more interactive tutorials on my You Tube video channel if you’d like to see other ideas!)

I really look forward to seeing what the “Crafty Chef” group comes up with for projects during the month of August!!  It’s great to be included in this group of crafty friends to share projects and inspiration with!  I enjoyed coming up with a recipe for August and I hope they have fun with it too!  Thanks so much for stopping in today friends and I’ll be seeing you again soon!

It’s Graduation Time!👩‍🎓

Hello friends!  It’s started to really warm up over my way, so now it’s time to stay indoors and have some crafty play in the cool air! I will be trying out some new goodies too! Yay!

A few weeks ago or so, I was commissioned to create some graduation cards using certain school themed colors for a few local grads in my area so I wanted to share what I came up with.

I made a set of 3 graduation cards each one of a different style/design and I was told the color theme for each school/college to use along with the instruction of adding a pocket or place holder to fit a gift card inside.  So I pulled out what graduation themed stamps I had in my stash and came up with a few different designs you can see below…

Vicki-Gradcards-custom-Gown

I dubbed this card “hassle with the tassel”!🤣

The colors were to be purple and gold.  I just used my paper trimmer to trim out my cardstock to make the “V” line to mimick a grad gown and then I created the grad cap with a square piece of cardstock.  The tassel was made with some gold metallic thread which was so very slippery that I went through like 4 “globs” of it to create a final tassel that looked decent enough to attach to the cap!  Oh my goodness!🤨

I used gold mirror cardstock for the accent layers and I had a greeting for the sentiment from an older Stampin’ Up! set in my stash…(hadn’t pulled these out since my youngest graduated back in 2015!)  I added the year along the neckline.

Vicki-Gradcards-custom-Gown1

And then to add pockets, as instucted, I took the Lawn Fawn Diagonal Gift Card Pocket die for the inside corner of the card along with stamping a sentiment for the grad.  (All of these cards were made for females graduating, so I knew this would work!)

Vicki-Gradcards-custom-Spring

For my next card, my colors were blue and yellow.  Being limited on my grad stamps, I’ve used the same greeting as the card above, but this one was used in a slightly different way.

I wanted to have this card look like the “appearance” of a graduation cap flying in the air.  So I took this “Spring Card” idea to make it so that although it lays flat to place in a regular A2 sized envelope, it springs up like this for display.  I added some stamped clouds in the background along with the year and greeting at the bottom.

Vicki-Gradcards-custom-Spring1

When you turn the card over on the back, you can see that I’ve stamped a greeting along with leaving a blank spot for a message or to sign a name.

You can also see the little area at the top where the thumb hole spot is to place a gift card inside the pocket that I created.  Thought that was a fun little card display for the grad!

Vicki-Gradcards-custom-Twist

And for this last card, the colors were the same purple and gold colors to work with.  I still wanted to work with the grad cap scheme as my supplies were somewhat limited and I wanted to come up with some different and unique designs for each.

So this is my take on a “Twist Turn Card”.  This was so fun to do and actually super simple!  I took parts of an older stamp image I had and used it for the stamping on this design.  I die cut some numbers for the year and of course the design of the card mimicks the square grad cap.  The tassel actually came from a Stampin’ Up! balloon die set and fit nicely with this.

Vicki-Gradcards-custom-Twist1

So when you open up this card, this is what it looks like on the inside with a nice little gift card slot at the top along with a stamped sentiment on the inside and space to write a personal message too.

Thanks so much for dropping in today!  I hope you’ve enjoyed my graduation themed cards and were inspired!  If you’d like to know how to make any of these cards, just let me know and I can show you!😉

I have some fun things coming…so I’ll see you soon!!

*This is my 2nd post for today, please scroll down or CLICK HERE to see my “2 Crafty Critter Crazies post.*

Good morning friends!  Aaah!  It sounds like a great morning for coffee doesn’t it?!  Well it sure does to me anyway!  Today, my post is all about coffee…so grab yourself a cup, sit back and enjoy!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Nov2019

I’m so excited today to share my post with you because Digi Doodle Studios is a first time sponsor for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Please be sure to check them out during the blog hop and CLICK HERE to stop on over at the Digi Doodle Studios blog and check out what’s happening there today as well!  There are lots of fun coffee themed products in the store and I’m thrilled to be sharing some with you today:

Vicki-DDS-CoffeeHop-ZfoldGiftCard

Isn’t she just adorable with coffee in hand?!  This image is called “Ginger” from Digi Doodle Studios and I’ve got her all colored up front and center of my Z-Fold Gift Card Holder. (CLICK HERE to see all of the “Caffinated Cuties” Collection!)

If you have ever made a Z-Fold card, then this is something with a little bit of extra added fun with a gift card holder pocket on the inside, plus you can see how the card nicely displays on the front which is perfect for popping into an envelope to mail out to your coffee loving friend!

The papers that I’ve used for this work perfectly with the theme today which are also from Digi Doodle Studios called Coffee Break Digi Papers.  (I love that I never have to worry about running out of my favorite pattern!!)  There are also several sentiments from Digi Doodle Studios used on my project called Coffee Anyone Sentiments.

*If you want to see a video with detailed instructions on how to make one of these Z-Fold Gift Card Holders along with a sharing of the full collection of the digital papers that I’ve used on my project, check out the video below or CLICK HERE to view it on You Tube:

This is such an easy and fun project to put together especially for the up-coming Holidays, but as you can see this is very neutral so that I could easily use it for most any time of the year.

Vicki-DDS-CoffeeHop-ZfoldGiftCard-close

Here’s a closer view of “Ginger” and how I’ve colored her up with Copic markers.  Of course if you know me, I had to add a bit of sparkle somewhere.  I took a glitter brush pen and added some sparkle to her pink bow, the heart on her coat and the lid and flower on her coffee cup.

I die cut her out with a stitched rectangle die and then layered a piece of brown cardstock die cut with a scallop rectangle die.  For the around the edges of the image panel as well as the other sentiments I printed out, I sponged some Tea Stain Distress Ink around the edges.  The sentiment were cut out with a stitched circle die and then layered with a piece of brown cardstock cut with a scallop circle die.

To keep the image panel in place, a foam dot was used at the bottom panel so that when you pull up on the flap it opens up:

Vicki-DDS-CoffeeHop-ZfoldGiftCard-open

And this is what is so fun, is that when you flip up the front panel, you see how it opens up with the fun coffee sentiments inside and the surprise gift card holder at the top!

I have an urge to go to Starbucks now! LOL!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my fun Coffee themed project today as well as the video tutorial on how to make one yourself!  I’d love to see yours if you make one!  If you have any questions about anything, please let me know!

Now to sip on some more coffee and join in on all of the coffee inspiration today!  Thanks so much for stopping in and I’ll see you again soon!

Fairy Princess Bunny With a Pocket!

Hello friends!  Hope you have enjoyed your weekend.  Yay!  We are finally getting some decent weather to be outside in!  It’s been rainy and chilly for a while, so it’s been nice to see some sun the last few days!

Today I have this really sweet image to share from Whimsy Stamps May Digital release and a fun extra added element with it!

Vicki-PC Fairy Princess Bunny Tag

I have made a tag using this really sweet Pollycraft image from Whimsy Stamps called Fairy Princess Bunny.  Isn’t she so sweet?!  I found some pretty papers to go with her and placed it over a purchased kraft colored tag that I sponged some white ink around the edges.

After placing the papers where I wanted them and trimming it down, I also attached a lace trim on each end of the papers over the tag.  The papers also had a bunch of sentiments included in the pack, so I added the circle sentiment to the tag and then die cut a kraft piece to layer behind it.  I also added some flowers and the ribbon at the top and then finished it off with some clear sequins.

Vicki-PC Fairy Princess Bunny Tag-close

Here’s a closer view of the coloring I’ve done on tihs cutie.  I’ve used Copic Markers to color her in with using the following markers:  (You can find these HERE at Whimsy Stamps.)

  • Dress, shirt, shoes, socks – B37, B34, B32, B01, B00, B000
  • Bunny, bunny ears – R11, R00, R000, C3, C1, C0
  • Wings – R00, R000, E000, BG000
  • Hair – YR30, E41, E43, E44, V95
  • Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R20, R00
  • Grass – G24, G21, G20
  • I used gel pens to make dots on wings and color in the crowns on the girl and bunny heads.  I also used a Wink of Stella glitter pen to go over the wings

After I colored her in, I cut her out from a circle stitched scallop die and then sponged around the image with a cloud stencil and distress ink.  I also sponged around the edges of the scallop circle with another color of distress ink and mounted her over the tag with a piece of craft foam behind her.

Vicki-PC Fairy Princess Bunny Tag-otherside

So when you flip the tag over, you can see that I’ve made a little pocket with the same papers I’ve used on the front of the tag.  I thought this would be a cute way to give out a gift card to your “Fairy Princess”.  The tag happens to be the perfect size for adding a pocket for a gift card to fit into.

Follow Your Dreams and More Christmas Fair Project Entries

Hello friends!  I have usually posted on Fridays to share some updates on my crafty projects and such, but had some other things to take care of and hubby has been working different hours here and there, so I thought I’d pop on here for Saturday instead!

I made a card for the Sparkle N Sprinkle FB Group yesterday, but thought I’d share it here as well:

Vicki-SnS-dreamcatcher-Aug

I fell in love with this image last year as this was from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Video Kit Club for August 2017.  I have pretty much used everything from the kit with the exception of a few things explained below.

The background papers were included with the kit and I have cutted a portion of a piece to put on the top section of my card front.  For the cactus silhouettes, I have taken the Nuvo Dazzling Blue Glitter drops from the kit and used a brush to push it around.  (You can see a closer view of all of the glitter in the photo below.)   I took a piece of black card stock from my stash to mount this piece and then I heat embossed the sentiment (from the kit) with white EP.  I then took some 1/4″ Tear-iffic Tape to go across the bottom portion of the background piece.  I then took the guilding flakes from the kit and attached it to the tape. – You can see how to use these products from the kit by watching the video from Demo Donna, CLICK HERE to see it on You Tube. (P.S.  She’s fun too! :))  I then took that entire black piece and mounted it onto a piece of craft foam.  I then attached it to a top folding white A2 sized card base which also came from my stash and not the kit.

Vicki-SnS-dreamcatcher-Aug-close

Here’s a closer look at the image and all of the glittery fun texture on this design!  (You can see here how the cactus in the background really shimmer and have a unique texture by applying it!

If you take a look at that circle behind this image, I have cut out a white piece of card stock with a stitched circle die and then covered the entire piece with the Sparkle N Sprinkle Orange Marmalade embossing powder…it is so stunning how this EP looks IRL!  There are some very fine gold mica powders in it that make it really amazing looking!  Not what I expected the first time I used this, in a good way! 🙂  I then took the feather that came in the kit and added some Nuvo Liquid Glue to the ends of it and then sprinkled on some SnS Ultrafine Sassy Silver Glitter and attached it behind the image with foam tape.

For the image itself, it came in the kit already pre-colored and sized to fit on the card.  I have fussy cut the image and put some foam tape on the back with the feather and embossed circle.  I have used the rest of the Nuvo Crystal Drops from the kit and used these to color in the image with a small brush to push the glitter around.  (I was following the tutorial from Demo Donna on that one.)  Very cool as I have never tried “coloring” with glitter in this way before!

I sure had fun with this card and will be pulling out my kit again to make more I’m sure!  I like to “mix” things up a bit with them instead of making them all uniformally the same.

I also have some more projects that I haven’t finished sharing with you from what I’ve entered into my local County Fair this year, so here’s some more Christmas projects that I’ve made and had entered:

Vicki-HoopOrnaments-Fair3rd

The category for this one was “handmade ornaments – set of 3” (They were all supposed to be similar in nature as well), so of course being the paper crafter that I am, I made 3 ornaments using paper crafting items from my stash! 🙂

A while back I had bought a large supply of bambo embroidery hoops because I wanted to have a try at making these ADORABLE ornaments that I found a tutorial for last year on Splitcoaststampers.com – CLICK HERE to check out the tutorial and make one for yourself! (That tutorial called for a 3″ hoop, but mine are a bit larger at 4″ here.)

Vicki-HoopOrnament

So for my ornament here, I used a stitched circle die to cut those lovely plaid papers from Lawn Fawn (looks like it retired!) and then I also cut another stitched circle from some gray colored papers to match.  On the Gray circle, I white heat embossed the Tim Holtz Mini Weathered Winter Snowflake and then took a sponge dauber to add a bit of white ink in some places.  I placed a wood veneer snowflake over top the center of the heat embossed snowflake and then added a dot of silver Nuvo Crystal Drops in the center.

For the outside of the hoop, I’ve had this silver tinsel in my stash for a few years (looks like the package says it is for a mini tree decoration.  LOL…IDK!)  I glued it around the edge of it, attached a silver bow at the top and then ran some silver cord around the top for hanging on the tree.  They are simple, quick and easy to make, but I had lots of fun with it for sure!  So it was nice to have placed third as a bonus!

Vicki-ShakerGiftCard-Fair3rd

This is one of my entries for “Hand-Stamped item Other Than a Card”.  (I will share my other two entries for this category on another post coming later on!)  If you had followed along with my other blog or “know me” on Splitcoaststampers.com, then you may have seen the tutorial that I made for them called “Shaker Money Holder” (Click name to view tutorial or click the photo for it on the sidebar of my blog here.)  I basically took the same concept for it and adapted the measurements to make it a gift card holder instead.

Vicki-ShakerGiftCardHolder

I have been wanted to play with this really fun stamp set from Pink and Main called Christmas Mugs which I’m sure I’ll be using again this year!  Yum! 🙂  It was the perfect compliment for gifting a Starbucks gift card!  (This was one of the “many” purchases I had made when I went to the Collinsville, IL stamp convention earlier this Summer!  So happy that Pink and Main had a booth there!)

For this shaker gift card holder, I stamped the candy cane from the same stamp set with some red Staz On ink before adding the shaker contents to it.  I had fun coloring the mug image with Copics and glitter gel pens.  I’ve also added some shimmer to the liquid in the cup with a Shimmer glitter pen.  I then fussy cut it out and used my Xyron machine to make a “sticker” with it to attach to the plastic.  I white heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set over red card stock, die cut it with a banner die and attached it in the same way I did the mug.  If you follow along with my tutorial, i was finished off in a very similar manner.

Now looking at this photo, I’m thinking it would have been cute to add one of those snowflake accents to the center of the bow or around the red banner! LOL!!  It was fun and easy to make regardless and will be nice to have on hand for Christmas!  It was also very nice to see that it got placed 3rd too!

Hope you have enjoyed my post today and seeing the things I have been so busy with creating this Summer!  I always look forward to Fall and the end of the year projects so I know things will start getting really busy soon!  I have lots to prepare for the up-coming craft booths that I will be sharing with my mom this year!

Thanks so much for dropping in!

*With the exception of the above card, I won’t enter the Christmas projects in any challenges due to the fact that I had made these in July. *

Hello friends!  I am VERY excited to share my first post with you today as a new design team member for the Whimsy Stamps Digital Design Team!  Woot!! Woot!

For those of you that have followed along with me for a while on my other blog know that I have previously worked with them as a DT member for other postions on the team over a period of several years.  This is simply because I adore Whimsy Stamps along with the owner and several others involved with this company.  I just love the images and working with them.  What better way to enjoy creating and coloring with the products than being apart of the team!  I’d like to share my creation today with this new image that was released at the beginning of this month:

Vicki-WS-Aug-week2

I find these penguins from Crissy Armstrong in the store absolutely adorable!  They all make me smile, but how fun is this cute Penguin Bubble Bath image!  🙂  The image was colored with my Copic markers as well as certain areas with gel pens and then I brushed over the shower cap and bubbles with a clear glitter shimmer brush pen.  I also decided to do a little paper piecing with her shower cap using the August release digital papers called Wonky Circles.

Of course there is so much sparkly goodness on this card that it’s hard to capture in just one photo, so I tried to angle it a bit to give you another view from the sparkly gel pens on the bubbly drink, water and claw feet on the tub.  The shimmer brush pen details can be found on her shower cap as well as the bubbles.  And if that wasn’t enough sparkle, I’ve added a strip of glitter paper along the left side of the image and then finished it off with some Studio Katia Cyrstal Clear Confetti sequins.

The sentiment I’ve used in the upper right corner of the image panel comes from a Whimsy Stamps clear stamp set called Everyday Mini Sentiments.

I wanted to create a special birthday card with this image in mind, so that when you lift up the penguin image, the card opens up like this….

I’ve taken more of the these Wonky Circles digital papers and used them for the inside of my card design and created a pocket for a gift card to fit inside.  I thought a Bath & Body Works gift certficate would be fun to use with this image! LOL!

For the inside sentiment, I’ve used the Whimsy Stamps Happy Everything Clear stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then added the circle elements with some ink to coordinate with the paper.
